Hey! I’m Denise. I am a travel enthusiast, author and creator of My Relentless Life.
So here’s my story: I was born in Alabama and grew up in California. I have been expressing myself through writing since I was about 13 years old. It has been well documented that journaling can be self healing. I did not know that as I poured my every thought, experience and emotion onto paper as a girl. I believe strongly that we should all journal the journey. Thanks to journaling, I now get to write about the great loves of my life: breakfast food, travel, movies, people, health, and of course, writing.

I discuss safety tips because I like to enjoy life, so I might just get up and go, whether I have a companion or not. So far, I have been all over the United States and to several international destinations, including Africa, where I traveled solo. I hope that by reading the articles here, you’re inspired to travel, write and dream big. All while keeping yourself safe.
One week after high school graduation, my dad took us on a road trip from California to Alabama. That two-week vacation turned into a spontaneous month long journey.
Since then, I have fallen in love with the journey … sometimes in search of the “best” a destination has to offer. I’ve discovered how amazing people are, and had enough mishaps that the jury is still out on whether I’m a brave woman or just a goofball.
I want to encourage you to run tirelessly in the direction of your dreams. This site is intended to help you begin living a life full of promise with room for your dreams and creativity.
